Review Replies for Salons and Barbers

Clients name their stylist and rave about their color. TrueReply passes the thanks along, and anything awkward comes to you first.

Reviews You'll Recognize

How TrueReply handles the reviews salons get every week.

Praise for a Stylist

When a client names someone on your team, the reply thanks them by name too.

Brooke is a color genius. I came in with box-dye damage and walked out with the blonde I've wanted for years.

Your reply

Dana, thank you! Brooke loves a color challenge and we're so happy you're finally wearing the blonde you wanted. See you at your next appointment.

The Last-minute Booking

Short reviews get short, genuine replies.

Booked an hour ahead and they still fit me in. Best massage I've had in a while.

Your reply

Thanks Will! Glad we could squeeze you in and that you left feeling better. Come back any time.

Booked online, showed up and they had no record of my appointment.

Reply ready for your OK

I'm so sorry you made the trip and couldn't be seen. That's not the welcome we want anyone to get. Please call the front desk at (555) 010-4410 so we can look into what happened and get you booked in.

Not Happy with the Cut

Complaints about a service, or a stylist, always come to you first.

Asked for a trim and lost 3 inches. Felt like nobody listened.

Reply ready for your OK

Jess, I'm sorry the cut wasn't what you asked for. Every client should feel heard in the chair. Please reach out at (555) 010-4410 so we can make it right.

Built-in Rules

Where We're Extra Careful

Pick salons, spas and barbers in your settings and these rules apply to every reply.

  1. Never Comments on Looks

Replies thank clients for their visit and never remark on anyone's appearance or body.

  2. Stylists Named Only with Praise

A stylist is thanked by name when the client praised them. Complaints about a stylist wait for you.

  3. No Free Services Promised

Replies don't offer a free cut or discount unless you've switched that on.

  4. Bookings and No-shows

Reviews about missed appointments and booking problems come to you, since only you can see what happened.

Bonus

Get More Reviews Coming In

The best moment to ask is at the mirror, when they love what they see. A QR card at the front desk plus a text with your review link after the appointment covers most clients. Ask everyone, and never offer a discount for a review.

Questions From Salons

Something else on your mind? Send us a note and a real person will reply within 1 business day.

Each of our stylists has a separate Google listing. Does that work?

Yes. Each listing counts as a location, and each can have its own voice. Most suites and booth-rental salons fit on Growth or Multi.

Can replies thank the stylist by name?

Yes, when the client named them. TrueReply won't add names that weren't in the review.

We're a barbershop and talk pretty casually. Will replies sound stiff?

Pick the Friendly tone and add a line about how you talk in your business notes. Replies follow your lead, and they pick up your style from any reply you edit.
