How to Use the On-Page SEO Checker

  1. Enter the page you want to rank, like a service or location page.
  2. We load it the way a crawler does, following any redirects.
  3. Fix the red items first, then the amber ones. Each result explains why it matters.

What We Check and Why

The checks focus on things that decide whether Google can index the page and how it shows up: the status code, redirects, noindex, canonical tags, the title and description Google uses for the snippet and the H1 that tells people what the page is about.

We also flag things that cost you clicks or customers later, like images without alt text, missing social sharing tags and pages so thin they can't answer the questions buyers ask before they call.

Title Length Is Measured in Pixels

Google cuts titles by width, not by character count, so a title full of W's gets cut sooner than one full of i's. We measure your title at the size Google shows it and warn you when it passes about 600 pixels, where desktop results usually cut off. Google doesn't publish an exact limit, so treat it as a guide.

Google also rewrites titles it thinks don't match the page. The fix is a title that's accurate and specific, not one stuffed with keywords.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is this the same as a full SEO audit?

No. This checks 1 page at a time for on-page basics. A full audit also looks at crawling across the whole site, speed, links, content gaps and competitors.

Why is my response time different from what I see?

We load the page from our server, which may be far from yours and skips your browser cache. Use it to spot slow servers, then test real visitor speed with our Core Web Vitals checker.

Does word count affect rankings?

Not directly. Short pages can rank fine when they answer the search. We flag low word counts because service pages usually need more detail to answer price, process and trust questions.
